As long as there are children living in poverty and facing inequity, every day is Red Nose Day

Child poverty has long been a crisis, but right now it is nothing short of an emergency. A gift of any size can protect children facing poverty from the ripple effects of COVID-19.

We need your support to help give children living in the most vulnerable communities across the U.S. and around the world a chance at a better life and a brighter future.

Everything We Know About the Special Night of Programming for Red Nose Day on NBC

News

Another year, another incredible night of programming on NBC to raise funds and awareness for children living in poverty. Doesn’t it seem like each year gets better and better?

This year, the three-hour programming block features a very special episode of “Celebrity Escape Room” followed by the sixth-annual “Red Nose Day Special.” There will be laughs, there will be celebs, and there will be money raised for children who need our help most.

So unlock your digital Red Nose, grab your favorite snacks, and get ready to tune in on May 21 for the greatest night of television this season.

Here’s what you can expect:

#1: Ben Stiller, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, and Adam Scott try out an escape room

The night begins at 8/7c with a spectacularly over-the-top “Celebrity Escape Room,” brought to our TV screens by the one-and-only Ben Stiller.

Hosted by Jack Black, these comedy stars will be working together to decipher clues, solve puzzles, and brainstorm solutions to gain their freedom before time runs out – all to support Red Nose Day. Each room they complete raises more money, so we’ll be watching in anxious anticipation to see what happens.

Trust us, you don’t want to miss it!

#2:  Mandy  Moore and Justin Hartley host the "Red Nose Day Special"

Immediately following “Celebrity Escape Room” is the sixth annual “Red Nose Day Special," which will be co-hosted by "This Is Us" megastars Mandy Moore and Justin Hartley. And they're not the only castmates getting involved! Milo Ventimiglia and Susan Kelechi-Watson will also be making appearances. Find out more here.

#3: Show-stopping musical performances from Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, and more

It wouldn’t be the “Red Nose Day Special” without some incredible music performances, with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, and more gracing the stage in years past. In fact, we still can’t get over Chrissy Metz’s performance of “I’m Standing with You” from Red Nose Day 2019:

This year, Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend return, along with Gwen Stefani, OneRepublic, Ellie Goulding, Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers, Sam Smith, James Taylor, Meghan Trainor, 5 Seconds of Summer and Adrienne Warren to lend their talents for the cause.

#4: Non-stop laughs from Jim Gaffigan, Tony Hale, Ray Romano, and more

Red Nose Day has always believed that laughter can bring us together, and that is true now more than ever. How else would the world have seen Coldplay’s Game of Thrones: The Musical?

This year, Jim Gaffigan, Tony Hale, Ray Romano, Lilly Singh, Ricky Gervais, and Sarah Silverman will be showcasing their comedic stylings to help raise some laughs, and some cash, for children in need. We’ll also be joined by stars including Julia Roberts, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Bryan Cranston, Mario Lopez, Stephen Merchant and Noah Jupe.

#5: An inside look at how your support is changing lives

Throughout the night, we’ll be showcasing stories of children all over the world whose lives have been saved and changed by your generous support. Donations ensure that children living in poverty are safe, healthy, and educated, and the more we raise, the bigger impact we will make.

BONUS: Can't wait? Tune-in   May 12

Too excited to wait? Join us on May 12 on NBC at 10pm ET/PT, to watch the special “social distancing” episode of Hollywood Game Night. Jane Lynch hosts as Kristen Bell, Nick Jonas, and Kenan Thompson go head-to-head with Sean Hayes, John Legend, and Retta to play games and raise money for Red Nose Day!

Here's a little taste of last year's festivities:

That's a wrap! Be sure to tune in Thursday, May 21 at 8/7c on NBC.

And remember – now more than ever, children living in poverty need our help. So let’s all come together to end child poverty – one (digital) nose at a time.
