Children's Health Fund
Children’s Health Fund (CHF) is committed to ensuring high quality healthcare to the nation's most medically underserved children. CHF does this through a national network of partners that directly reach 90,000 children and family members annually, delivering healthcare where children live, where they learn, and where they play. CHF programs service more than 340 schools, Head Start centers, shelters and community sites every year. Thematic program areas include:
- Expanding access to innovative, intensive, and comprehensive primary care under an “enhanced medical home model”;
- Identifying, treating and managing medical conditions known as “health barriers to learning” that interfere with child development and school performance through the Healthy and Ready to Learn initiative;
- Responding to the needs of vulnerable children impacted by major public health crises, including a mental health program in response to the lead crisis in Flint; and
- Advocating for policies and programs that improve the health and well-being of all children
